Sharing Global Village Wisdoms...

Article posted on LinkedIN and Facebook, January 17, 2017

With more people sharing their wisdom... and saying it loud and clear on LinkedIN and other media these days, I thought it was time for me to share some more of S.E.I 's knowledge and wisdom with you through this post.

There are 3 words that best describe what Global Villagers look for: Valourization, Synergy and Community.

Community is the people around us. Some are acquaintances, good or bad, that we interact with briefly.  Some become friends that we share moments with and exchange information, good and bad.  Some become good friends that we invite into our home, treat as family, share secrets with, and that we trust… sometimes with our jobs, or even lives.  Some are soul mates.  They are the ones we cherish the most, even though sometimes we do not see each other for a long time.  And from these we find our “one” mate, the “one” we choose to share our life with (for the rest of our lives?) and, perhaps, have a family.  Community is also about the people around us, around the edge of our inner circle.  Some are good, helping and sharing with others.  Some are bad, trying to take advantage of us and others.

Community is about inclusiveness, creating a civilization that cares about all people, no matter their status, background or… whatever.  It is about creating a civilization that encourages all to “better themselves” while serving and helping others, and contributing to a more secure humane civilization for all.

Synergy is the “2 + 2 = 5” formula to achieving an “interesting” life.  Synergy is not only the combination of various skills, talents even, but also the sum-total of an eclectic range of knowledge and experience that sometimes enables us to be “expert generalists”, capable of finding unique intuitive solutions to complex multidisciplinary problems.

Synergy is about curiosity of interesting things, then sharing knowledge, experiences and wisdoms to improve everyone’s lot in life, thereby contributing to a more secure humane civilization.

Valourization is one of the cures for selfishness and greed.  It is necessary to give each and everyone a sense of value, of self-worth, so that we do not feel left out.  Regrettably, our societies seem hell bent on pushing people to give, and not to receive.  A prime example is the senior’s cohort that is swept to the sidelines, “out of sight / out of mind”.  For a society, that is like shooting oneself in the foot.

Valourization is about encouragement, for all people.  Encouragement, no matter how small, leads to both confidence AND a healthy mind and body.

So, what actions can be taken ?

Here at S.E.I , as part of our Global Village Mindset initiative, we are finalizing plans to approach some of these difficulties on two fronts.

Our first initiative is our G4Habitat concept.  As explained in some detail in a previous post here on LinkedIN, it is both a commercial endeavour and part of our research activities to show that generational interactions are a must in a Global Village Civilization.

Our second initiative is the Villa3Wave concept, the next phase of our research following the G4Habitat concept.  It is also a commercial and research endeavour as highlighted in a separate LinkedIN posting, and will shape the details of the interactions needed between a large group of people in a “communal” type environment that will lead participants, especially its senior residents, to enjoy not just a luxury lifestyle, but also be the recipients of ongoing encouragement through synergistic sharing, lively valourizing activities, and caring services that combined will provide proof of the revised saying: A Healthy Body Through a Healthy Mind.

Wisdoms are everywhere.  All we have to do is “see” them.  One of S.E.I ’s goals is to compile these, as well as specialised knowledge and relevant experiences, and make them available to all Global Villagers.  Our “Say it LOUD!” newsletter, as well as our public lectures, are some of our tools for distributing these.
